Choose for yourself. When we bought our home in Westport Ct 27 years ago, coming from lower Westchester and working years in NYC, when they said Ct pizza is the best I laughed... I mean a belly laugh!
Ok, so over time we tried Pepes in New Haven... hmmm this is really good I said.
Then we tried Modern Pizza in New Haven, which for some reason seems to be a hotbed for pizza. Modern was even better.
Then we heard about this small family run joint in West Haven. It is located right smack in the middle of a residential neighborhood... not a strip mall, not even on a double yellow lined street... a neighborhood... those lucky ducks! This one took the prize for me.... Zuppardi's. They proudly profess 90 YEARS plus in business. Now that is what I call withstanding the test of time. Zuppardi's is simply the best pizza I have ever eaten.... yes including everywhere!
So buy a house in Ct or take a road trip and judge for yourself who has the best pizza in Connecticut!
